Prime Roots Launches 'Koji Meat' Line for Bulk Deli Sales

Plant-based meat brand Prime Roots has announced that it will be adding deli meats and charcuterie to its lineup of koji-based meat offerings. Appropriately, the new line will be called 'Koji Meat' and will include ham, turkey, salami, all sliced in an authentic deli-style, as well as charcuterie items such as Koji Pâtés, pepperoni, and foie gras.

For those unfamiliar, koji is a filamentous fungus native to Japan that can be used to create meat-like products that are rich in protein. In addition, the new products are all GMO-free and boast impressively clean and simple ingredient lists.

With the new line, Prime Roots will make its first foray into the bulk deli category where it will be directly targeting meat-eaters, offering them a healthy, plant-based alternative to their favorite products.
