Goddesses With Tiny Men

Katy Perry and Paula Abdul Rock Grammy Gowns by Basil Soda

Lebanese designer Basil Soda may not be a huge name in the North American fashion industry, but both Katy Perry and Paula Abdul looked stunning at the Grammy Awards wearing his gowns. Katy wore a bubblegum pink strapless dress that flattered her hourglass figure and Paula wore a golden yellow halter gown with metal accents, pictured here fourth in the grouping. Having such coverage of his label will surely help launch his name to the forefront.

The Basil Soda website is lovely as well, and I especially loved the gorgeous Grecian-inspired campaign images of beautiful models in white gowns with tiny figurines of men. What message is behind these little men is unclear to me, but the photographs are elegant with a touch of sarcasm.
