Whale-Inspired Knives

The KAI Pure Sensai 3 Would Make a Great Father's Day Gift

With Father's Day soon approaching, trying to find that perfect gift for Dad is made easier with the release of the KAI Pure Sensai 3.

This kitchen knife takes inspiration from the underbelly of a whale. The lines alongside the blade are meant to function like the ribbed belly of a whale; as the knife slices, the ribs allow for a more fluid cutting motion.

Available in five styles (from a serrated bread knife to a paring knife), the KAI Pure Sensai 3 was designed by Sam Cho. This knife is made with ceramic-coated steel and an FDA food-safe coating so it stays sharp with minimal maintenance. The blade is hand-sharpened and the concave thumb grip allows for increased control.
