Fan-Fuelled Stop Motion Shorts

J Viewz 'Rivers and Homes' Video is Multidimensional

Stop motion techniques make for an eye-catching and interesting way to present material, but the J Viewz Rivers and Homes video has taken the technique and expanded on it to create a video within a video.

To create the picture-in-picture effect, the directors first filmed the music video in the traditional style. They then took 2000 still photos from within the shoot and distributed hard copies of the images to 300 fans on a J Viewz tour in Israel. Each fan was then photographed holding a screenshot from the original video and then that image was re-inserted into the film.

By inserting these images into the production, the second half of the video is a short motion version variation of the beginning of the video, told through pictures held by fans of the band.
