Smartphone-Connected Therapy Lights

The Iwaku Lamp Gently Wakes You up and Fights the Winter Blues

It’s quite possible that the iwaku lamp is the smartest lamp ever created. This Dutch design connects to your phone via Bluetooth and can interact with sleep apps to help gently wake you up. What’s more, the light from the lamp is bright enough to fight Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

The iwaku lamp comes with an alarm clock app that gently wakes you up by slowly filling the room with light. The app can even be set to where it only wakes you up during the lighter part of your sleep cycle. In addition to its own in-house app, the iwaku lamp is open source, allowing you to develop your own apps for it. The lamp is set to hit store shelves (European stores) this fall and will sell for about $305.
