The Isaac Cordal Shadow Art is Eerie

This Isaac Cordal Shadow Art presents spooky wired faces from cooking wares. The public installation was created by Spanish artist Isaac Cordal, who appropriates cooking ware into a charming project. By moulding faces into metal cooking strainers, Cordal achieves an amazing effect by simply bending the wires. Each individual face is very detailed, accurately depicting the human form.

The human face strainers are then placed on pavement to create beautifully dark shadows. The project uses public lighting resources in order to create these projections. Looking at the shadows on the pavement, the effect eerily resembles faces in stain glassed windows. This is also reflected in their stoic expressions. Cordal successfully takes a great approach to cooking ware, and turns it into art masterpieces.
