Even if you don’t like guns or Apple, you’ll have to concede that the Inteliscope Tactical Rifle Adapter is actually pretty ingenious. This invention effectively turns your iPod/iPhone into an electronic gun sight and heads-up display (HUD). The adapter works using a protective case and accompanying app. Together the two let you take your iDevice shooting.
The Inteliscope Tactical Rifle Adapter can affix to both a Picatinny (Mil-STD-1913) or Weaver tactical rail, and it allows you to use your phone in landscape or portrait mode. When the app is activated, it allows you to zoom up to five times and choose from a wide range of crosshairs. Additionally, the app can provide information on current conditions, such as GPS coordinates, wind speed and direction. It can also record your shot times, relay ballistics information and offers video playback of shots. The adapter sells for $69.99 and is set for a June release.
