X-RAY Vision Cameras

Fujifilm's New Infrared Camera Will Transform the World of Forensics

Fujifilm recently announced its new infrared camera – one that is both futuristic and potentially controversial with its X-RAY vision. The X-T1 IR camera is mirrorless and has an anti-reflective coating, enabling it to see infrared light and therefore to see through a wide range of materials, including clothing.

This infrared camera is for more than the James Bonds and creepy neighbours out there though. In addition to its frisky feature, it has some incredible practical uses for those working in forensics, healthcare and science. It can help analyze blood spatter, see through tissue and bones and maximize light intake for astrophotography. In addition, the camera creates beautiful photographs that mimic hallucinogenic-induced images.

To be released in October, Fujifilm's X-T1 IR will go for $2,099. With Superman-like vision added to its 16 megapixel sensor, WiFi connectivity and weatherproofed body, this go-go gadget is worth the big bucks.
