Kroger & Infarm are Introducing Modular Produce Farms to Stores

In partnership with urban farming network Infarm, Kroger is introducing an in-store farming initiative with modular living produce farms at select locations, so that fresh produce can be grown on-site. The in-store farms give consumers access to locally grown fresh greens at great prices, all the while helping the retailer reduce the need to transport and store the fresh greens. To make the fresh food accessible to all, the greens are set to be priced at or below the cost of Kroger’s existing store-brand produce.

Kroger's partnership is the first of its kind in the United States for Infarm, which has already experienced great success with more than 500 in-store farms across Europe.
