‘360cities' Ikuno Silver Mine Caveography

How many people get to say they’ve been to Japan, let alone down in a ‘Ikuno Silver Mine’ in Japan. ‘360 Cities’ has an interactive guide that allows you to explore the nether regions of a dark (relatively) unexplored cave. Unless you are a miner that works there, which is probably unlikely because you have internet access as you are reading this article right now, then you have probably never experienced the inner workings of a Silver mine.

The tunnel itself is approximately 217 miles long and the deepest part is roughly 0.55 miles below ground. You can even experience what it would be like if you were a bat, I stayed perched on the roof of the cave for a good few minutes myself.

Now there is a part of the mine that is open to the public, but until you go to Japan to actually visit the Ikuno Silver Mine, I suggest you explore and have fun with this interactive display.
