The Company Releasses the Project to Further Appeal to Kids

IKEA will be launching a new twist in its products this upcoming August. The iconic furniture company already had toy kitchens clearly based in its own real kitchen designs, and now, the company is to include dollhouse furniture versions of their real furniture. The sets will include some of their most famous items, such as the Lack table, Klippan sofa or the Expedit shelving. This way, IKEA makes an early approach to future consumers using toys as an instrument.

It is no surprise that IKEA wants to become the standard in furniture, and that is why it has projects like the full IKEA neighborhood built just a few years ago. Now the audience sees its attempt to make children relate furniture to their basic and most positive experience using playtime. In this context, we can understand the words of IKEA's children's business leader, Carol McSeveney, to the Evening Telegraph: "research shows lots of kids want to create doll's houses for their toys that reflect their own homes – furnished in a more modern style, with plenty of space to store all the accessories, of course."

The company will release the sets in its new catalog in August.
