The winner of IK Prize 2014 awarded by the Tate museum in London is the team of Tommaso Lanza, Ross Cairns and David Di Duca, known as The Workers.
For IK Prize 2014, The Workers came up with 'After Dark,' an incredibly novel way for patrons to explore a museum. 'After Dark' allows people to control camera mounted robots from anywhere over the web in order to explore the Tate Britain museum after dark when it's closed. Anyone who has access to the Internet will be able to now have access to a first class museum.
For winning this years IK Prize, The Workers received £10,000 prize and a £60,000 development budget, with the expectation that they turn their 'After Dark' project into a reality by summer 2014.
