British artist Simon Terrill teams up with Assemble Architecture to create this ice cream playground that looks like the delicious dairy dessert. The inspiration for the playground comes from the Brutalist ear of architecture. Instead of using concrete objects, Terril used reconstructed foam pieces to represent the British Brutalist housing blocks from the 20th century.
The ice cream playground fills the entire gallery at the Royal Institute of British Architects headquarters. The use of pastel pinks, greens and blues makes this architecturally pleasing playground very appealing to children. Every block is covered in black speckles that give the appearance of cookies and cream ice cream.
The playground is open to the public. Children and adults alike can play among the intricate slopes and staircases of this ice cream wonderland.
