The Hylozoic Ground Exhibit Breathes New Life into Architecture

I always get very excited when I come across some home grown innovations so I was absolutely ecstatic when I discovered this wondrous creation. The Hylozoic Ground Exhibit created by Philip Beesely will be featured at this year's Venice Biennale of Architecture. If you are looking at this piece a little perplexed, let me explain it to you.

The Hylozoic Ground Exhibit is a highly detailed structure built out of acrylic lattice and features a network of "interactive mechanical fronds, filters and whiskers" that responds to visitors entering the structure's space.

The Hylozoic Ground Exhibit was built to show that there is life in all objects and to further reinforce the bond between the natural and constructed environment.
