The amber color of the Homune Table coupled with its geometric shapes make this stunning piece of furniture look like a section of a honeycomb. Granted, the shape is just slightly off, forming diamonds rather than hexagons, but the image is there nonetheless. It isn't, however, its organic aesthetic that makes the Homune Table impressive. Instead, it is the fact that it was completely handblown.
Created by British designer Michael Young, the Homune Table was crafted in collaboration with the Czech Republic-based glass manufacturer LASVIT. Based on 3D visuals, LASVIT made special steel molds for the glass to be blown into. Crafted out of 36 separate glass fractals, with six different designs repeating six times, the Homune Table is beautiful to behold.
