Volcanic Holiday Homes

This Wilderness Abode is Constructed Using Stone From Jeju Island

Z Labs is a Korean architectural firm that has put together a modern abode located on the Jeju island that differs from most holiday homes in that the exterior is constructed using volcanic rock. The use of a resource that is abundant to the island allows the holiday home to be that much more ecological.

The home has a minimalistic design that focuses primarily on offering guests a panoramic view of the setting with a modern L-shaped structure. The home is comprised of an antiquated brick exterior with the stones collected from the volcanic rock in Pyeongdae. The grey and black brick lends the exterior to be monochromatic and constructed using natural materials sourced from the landscape.
