Full-Service Fashion Cafes

Gucci's 1921 Cafe is the Fashion Brand's First High-End Dining Service

Gucci has decided apply the elegance it brings to luxury clothing to the restaurant world by opening the high-end dining '1921 Gucci Café' in Shanghai. The name of Gucci's first full-service restaurant pays homage to the brand's first year of operation, and it will feature authentic dishes from its home town.

The 1921 Gucci Cafe took two years to complete and it will be opening in one of Shanghai's busiest shopping hubs, the IAPM luxury shopping mall. The restaurant will only be accessible through elevators in the Gucci store. The interior of the restaurant is reflective of Gucci's signature style, with gold shades and velvet blanketed throughout. As part of its branding effort, the 1921 Gucci logo is pronounced throughout the restaurant, including on the cutlery, walls and napkins.

Although providing an extensive menu with a variety of food, the focus is Italian cuisine, the fashion house's home country. Some of the menu items include authentic bruschetta and spaghetti with urchins and calamari.
