Helpsy Enphasizes the Message That Clothes are Not Trash

Helpsy is a large textile collection company located in the Northeast area of the United States and it is branching out to offer environmentally friendly programs as well. The overarching purpose is to keep clothing out of the trash, educating its consumers of better practices.

In the last year, Helpsy collected 25 million pounds of clothing. It also showcases the impact that clothing waste has on the environment. The collected items translated to 20 billion gallons of water, 320 million pounds of CO2 emissions, and enough electricity for 10,000 American homes. Its social mission works alongside a for-profit environmental company. This partnership allows the duo to give clothing to those in need as an additional repurposed approach. This past winter, Helpsy collected over 44,000 winter jackets that were directly delivered to New York Cares.
