The Reinvented HelloComputer Mascot Embraces Interactive Tourism

The portable plush mascot is a new version of the HelloComputer’s mascot and a marketing technique that can get you noticed worldwide.

This idea to recreate a mascot as a lightweight easy to carry around toy was embraced by Si Maclennan who’s role was to see to the illustration, art direction, package design of the Alex Bogusky of Crispin Porter & Bogusky bCycle Project. The mascot used is called "Hal" which was taken to various destinations around Cape Town and photographed with his visiting friend, "Al" in various tourist attraction hot spots. The portable plush mascot resembles a kind of cute teddy bear and makes a really fun friend for tourists especially in their memorable photographs. This great idea can be embraced by all companies who uses mascots as a marketing medium and its interactive tourism can get your message out powerfully.
