Taiwan Airport Dedicates an Entire Gate to Create a Hello Kitty Dreamland

Taiwan's Taoyuan Airport was rated one of the world's top ten most traveler-friendly airports and houses the one-of-a-kind Hello Kitty dreamland.

Hello Kitty, one of the most internationally acclaimed Sanrio characters, has an entire gate dedicated to her. The dreamland is located near Terminal 2 near the C3 boarding gate. Welcoming guests into the exclusive waiting area is a Hello Kitty statue walking a suitcase.

The Hello Kitty dreamland hosts four different unique sections: the Pinky Kitty departure lounge, the Hello Kitty playground for children, the Bay Kitty nursery room and the Sanrio gift shop. Walking into one of these rooms is like looking at a land made out of bubble gum as all the furniture is made in pink. Aside from the gift shop and the playgrounds, a great way to spend your layover is to enjoy a few Sanrio cakes as well.
