Talented creative Peechaya Burroughs recreates popular foods using helium balloons in her series of illustrative photos that are minimalistic, modern and somewhat surrealist. The balloons are used to make up different elements of the edibles creating an optical illusion for the viewer, that is left to wonder if the food depicted is real or not.
Burroughs' illustrations are simple and minimalist, focusing on the shapes and colors of the balloons to capture the forms of popular foods. The photographs feature a blank wall as the backdrop with the balloons used to recreate cracked eggs, donuts, spritz of water and even smoke. Sometimes Burroughs' hand is present in the image, drawing a sense of reality to the inedible food artwork. Burroughs's food creations are displayed on her popular Instagram profile.
