Airy Luxury Abodes

This Hawaiian Mansion Takes Advantage of Sea Breezes and Natural Ventilation

Typically, Hawaiian mansions are massive air-conditioned structures that rarely rely on the available natural air. This airy luxury abode however, takes a different approach to design and relies on natural ventilation and sea breezes to keep the entire complex cool.

Architects opted for five separate structures -- rather than one -- that each overlook a green courtyard and stunning pool. All of the houses' living areas are open to the courtyard and pool area which allows for ample natural air to flow in and out of the homes. The house is not only aesthetically pleasing, but built on values of sustainability as well. This Hawaiian mansion relies on using its natural environment, ocean breeze and sunlight to help fuse the indoors with the outdoors.
