As time goes by, cell phone manufacturers are making their products smaller and easier to use, with extra features and interactive functionality. Well, designer Marc Schömann doesn't follow that trend with his new design.
According to Yanko Design, Marc's cryptex mobile phone (which has yet to be named) uses haptic technology to provide physical feedback for making a call. There is no display and there are no buttons; you need to turn it to dial the numbers.
"You turn the dial of every element to the desired cipher," Yanko Design explains. "If you entered the number you turn the first segment 'to phone' (green LED). If you want to hang up the call you turn the first segment to 'hang up' (red LED). The phone works without buttons and without a display and based on the old dial phones."
You know what's funny about this mobile? It vibrates!

Cool idea, but it's obviously not practical at all.
