Western Digital's Hard Drive F1 Car is Made from 250 Hard Drives

Western Digital's Rob Ryan is the man behind the Hard Drive F1 Car. This Formula One replica racecar was made using nothing but hard drives—250, to be exact. Ryan put over 400 hours of work into this model, which looks nearly identical to an actual RC car. That being said, it's doubtful that an RC car could ever store as much data as the Hard Drive F1 Car once could.

Western Digital has found an ingenious way to market its wares. The Hard Drive F1 Car is comprised of a number of different hard drives sold by the company, serving as sort of a fun and functional catalog. There are very few things out there that can unite F1 fans and hardware lovers, but this car might just be able to do it.
