Celebrity Graffiti Gags (UPDATE)

A New Hanksy Gallery is Promoted by Batch of Celeb Spoof Graffiti

A new Hanksy gallery is in the works as Banksy's infamous arch nemesis serves up the streets with more humorous graffiti art.

This series is part of a blitz campaign to promote his future exhibit at Gallery 1988. The pieces are scattered throughout L.A. in all sorts of places and sometimes take advantage of the location to add to the humor. For instance, one of his paintings featuring the star Bradley Cooper is on a washroom wall and is titled, 'Bradley Pooper.'

The pieces include slightly lame and easy puns, but that is what adds to humor. Banksy is known for his profound commentaries and deep thoughts and Hansky takes advantage of this in complete jest. The fact that Hansky's subject is celebrities adds to the overall effect of his spoofs. The Hanksy gallery is certainly something to look forward to.
