The 'LightCAGE' hanging light lamp is a futuristic take on the traditional pendant light that is created with a computer and printed using a 3D printer.
Rather than feature a traditional lampshade, the 'LightCAGE' uses a skeletal cage to keep the lamp hidden within. This allows a soft level of illumination to come outward to create a very modern ambience in living or working areas. The 'LightCAGE' lamp is crafted from PLA and casts a kaleidoscopic series of light and shadows around a space. This works to make the hanging light a functional art piece as well as a way to offer subtle space illumination.
Designed by Emmanuel Osorno, the 'LightCAGE' hanging light lap is the second place winner of the VModern Furniture Design Competition for 2016.
