There are so many quirky and creative vase designs out there, but the Hands and Hand container might make it into the top ten category easily. It is essentially a bunch of classic vase designs melded into one, creating a haphazard line of porcelain on a table. This statement-making piece of decor is exactly what is needed in every home to create a personal and character-filled vibe.
Designed by Proof of Guild, which was founded by Nagoya-based duo Minoru & Keiko Takeuchi, the Hands and Hand vase was recently exhibited during the 2011 Design Tide Tokyo show. Although known for their eclectic animal-inspired accessories and ceramics, Proof of Guild has clearly decided to branch out with their Hands and Hand holder. Yet, they still hold true to a philosophy of traditional handmade craft over mass production.
