This 'Guitar Boy' is a combination between a classic Nintendo Game Boy and a playable electric guitar, built by a hardcore game fanatic and musician.
The Guitar Boy electric guitar actually incorporates a fully-functional Game Boy, with a 5" monitor seated between the bridge and neck of the guitar. The Guitar Boy has A and B game boy buttons as well as the directional pad situated on the front of the guitar, and has the L and R buttons on the back, allowing it to play a variety of classic Nintendo games. It can also be used to make music as a conventional electric guitar -- making it fully playable in two different ways.
The Guitar Boy was home crafted for the 2015 Game Boy Classic build-off: evidence of an intense level of maker culture that incorporates software and electrical engineering into DIY projects.
