GUESS denim has been a wardrobe staple for everyone from teenagers to businesswomen for decades. The latest collection from GUESS, suited to the upcoming holiday season, takes this iconic denim and injects it with a metallic flair, creating some striking striped jeans that are perfect for any 2014 New Year's Eve party.
At the GUESS Holiday collection preview, Trend Hunter TV was able to sit down with Julia Che, President of Lotus Leaf Communications, to discuss everything from the inspiration behind the collection's designs to what Julia's excited about in the fashion world.
1.Tell us a little bit about the GUESS Holiday Collection.
We have a ton of different, amazing items. GUESS is really based in denim, it’s such an iconic brand, but in the holiday collection we’re actually seeing some really exciting pieces from bright reds to ox-blood reds to some really fantastic knits. There are some really great blings of jewelry…it’s really just a fantastic collection here.
2.How is this collection specific to the holiday season?
This collection is specific to the holiday season because of its prints and its patterns. It has a lot of different sequined material and really fun cocktail dresses for the evening; perfect for a girls’ night out, or New Year’s Eve.
3.What are some fashion trends that you’re really excited about for the Fall/Winter season?
I’m really excited about denim, of course; the printed denim, the metallic denim…I’m also really excited about the knits. GUESS has done a really great job with knits this season, as well as with dresses, so you see this really sweet heart neckline on cocktail dresses that I’m really excited about.
4.How does GUESS stay on the forefront of fashion?
They have fashion for a whole bunch of different age groups, as well as for a ton of different interests. The GUESS girl definitely loves fashion, and she’s a young, adventurous woman, which puts GUESS on the forefront of fashion.
