Warner Music México Debuts Gorgona, a Woman-Led Music Label

Warner Music México has launched Gorgona, a music label completely managed and run by women, exclusively for talented women. The label was created to address the lack of women in senior industry roles in the music industry, allowing them to pursue higher opportunities across the organization. Gorgona, a creature who serves as the protective deity of women in Greek mythology, inspired the label's name and the first songwriter's camp experience attended by musicians Ali Stone, Erika Vidrio, Escarlata, Ingratax, Marian Ruzzi, and more.

Through Gorgona, Warner Music Group hopes to encourage more women in music to pursue higher opportunities. All business operations, from songwriting to digital music services, are led by women at the firm.

Commenting on the camp experience, Andrea Fernandez, A&R manager at Warner Music México, said: "[The artists] had practically never attended a camp where the participation of women was greater than that of men. We came out with a network of creative women who were able to get to know themselves and their work and produced spectacular songs."
