Glowing Books

'Good Ideas Glow in the Dark' Encourages You to Read With the Lights Off

'Good Ideas Glow in the Dark' may be the first book ever designed to be read with the lights off. Created by Croatian design firm Bruketa&Žinić, the book is designed for the investment company Ardis to showcase its annual report in literally a different kind of light.

The glow-in-the-dark reports were placed in a special room designed by Brigada that would automatically dim its light whenever someone entered the room. Readers were then treated to the world's first glow-in-the-dark book, which undoubtedly made it easier to comb through all of the facts and figures presented before them.

As a reader I would love to see Bruketa&Žinić expand on 'Good Ideas Glow in the Dark.' Printed literature is slowly but surely giving ground to eBooks and may need to try something new to reignite interest in reading among the youth. Kids do love things that glow-in-the-dark, after all.
