Native New Yorker The Godfather of Graffiti aka SEEN is back from Europe with this wonderfully experimental abstract exhibition. Growing up in the Bronx, SEEN perfected his graffiti style and became known for pioneering full-color throw-up pieces and recognizable letter techniques. Surprisingly, his solo exhibit at Fabien Castanier Gallery in California is less about the artist's notable street style techniques and more about his experiments exploring abstract ideas and techniques on canvas. The Godfather of Graffiti has been hiding out in Paris for the past eight years, avoiding the streets to test these new ideas. With this lively collection, it is pretty obvious that he has become even more familiar with his preferred tool, the spray can.
