Matthew Day Jackson Designs the GLITS Rainbow Lounge

Matthew Day Jackson launches its new GLITS Rainbow Lounge chair made in collaboration with design imprint Made by Choice. The chair is defined by a custom-painted plywood technique and it is the latest to join the Kolho series, which is a capsule made up of tables and chairs. These are accented with intricate right angles and curvaceous looks.

The inspiration behind the collection stems from the Apollo moon landing and a small town in Finland dubbed Kohlo. The chair has a structure in the form of bent rainbow plywood that is detailed with custom Formica laminate, which has been developed by Jackson himself in Kohlo. The rainbow motif is selection to be a part of the chair in support of the TGBLQIA+ community.
