Public Cages For Smokers

Glass Segregation Chambers

Smokers look rather sad these days. If not completely abandoned to back alleys to light up, they are put in glass cages like chimps for onlookers to laugh at.

As inventive as businesses are in accommodating their smoking customers, the designs for these zones are such eyesores--it’s no wonder smokers look humiliated in them.

These pictures are taken from smoking zones in bars, airports and restaurants, and they just make me ache with pain. To all design studios: Please sort it out. Smokers have enough to worry about besides looking like caged baboons.
