Artist Giulia Pex Surrounds Herself with Fairy Tale

Mixing photography with beautiful illustrations, artist Giulia Pex brings fairy tale characters to life, for a series she calls Ghosts That We Knew.

An artist based in Milan, Italy, Giulia Pex explains the title of project stating: "fables are ghosts that we knew: sometimes they come back to haunt our lives." In Ghosts That We Knew, Giulia Pex is visited by a fairy godmother and several woodland creatures, in another photograph she is enjoying tea with the Mad Hatter and March Hare, in another she is being accosted by the big bad wolf, later she rides a noble steed with her prince charming, and in the final photograph she brushes her teeth in front of the magic mirror from Snow White.

Through her illustrations, Giulia Pex adds magic to the ho-hum affairs of everyday life.
