Deceptively Compact Dining Sets

Gioia's Monolith Table For Small Space Slendor

The 10 seat dining table and chair system featured is "The Monolith," which is what the piece becomes when the chairs are placed right up to the sleek stainless dining table. The other piece featured is a tea table which starts as a cube and then folds out to provide additional surfaces. So simple, yet so effective.

The German-born designer, Gioia Meller Marcovicz, now makes her home in London and Venice. Her sleek, minimalist line of furniture is as practical and space saving as it is beautiful to look at.

Gioia was once a fashion designer for private haute couture clients, and produced her own line under the label "zwei." It appears as though the diversity of the work she has produced fueled the compulsion to branch out, and clearly it payed off as obviously designing furniture was a step in the right direction.
