The Cleveland Museum of Art's Giant Touchscreen Makes Art Come Alive

The Cleveland Museum of Art has installed an amazing way to interact with art: giant touchscreens.

Now, when I say giant touchscreen, I don't mean big like an iPad or a big screen TV. I'm talking absolutely enormous. How does 40-feet sound to you? The software associated with the giant touchscreen allows museum visitors to search for artwork based on various categories like artists, genres and time periods. Given its completely massive scale, it allows multiple users to browse around at the same time. When idle, the screen will simply float different pieces of art around the screen until a user comes along and starts selecting their searches.

Personally, I think a 40-foot wide game of Angry Birds is just what this screen was really made for.
