Giant Eco Bead Curtains

Green Decor at Jamsil Olympic Stadium

Remember those hippy era beaded curtains? Well, they’re baaack! But this time on a grander scale, and are even environmentally friendly. They are made of all sorts of recycled plastic containers, even plastic baskets.

The "beads" were strung together to form massive curtains all around the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. It must have taken some doing to hang them all up. One assumes they will recycle the plastic material again after the show!

The occasion is for DesignBoom’s first showcase in Seoul which will display the work of 30 emerging designers from around the world.
