Samsung Develops a New Galaxy Watch Feature for Sleep

Samsung received approval from the PDA to add a sleep apnea detection element and so this will be joining as the latest Galaxy Watch feature. It will roll out in the US and the company has further plans to add the monitoring tool to other wearables.

Users will be able to access the data on the Samsung Health Monitor app and users over the age of 22 who haven't been diagnosed can check for signs using their phones and smartwatch. Samsung explains that "sleep apnea can compound the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, and stroke." The feature was developed and added by Samsung to better detect and moderate various forms of the condition no matter the severity and aid them in seeking medical advice.
