Luckily, the scientists at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University have been working on higher strength materials for everyday use. The university’s professor of Glass Science and his grad students signed an agreement with the Santanoni Glass company to market the new technology.
The team claims it can compete with the price of current glass, and I assume it still gives you a nice "clink" sound that plastic-wannabes still cannot replicate.
