Rollable TV Screens

LG is Designing a Futuristic TV That Can Roll Up Like a Thin Paper Poster

LG announced that it will be releasing a rollable futuristic TV in 2016 -- a non-fictional, truly flexible television screen that can roll up like a poster tube will be a technology reality.

The 55 inch screen will employ large OLED panels as they do not need a back light, allowing it to be paper thin. Reducing the need for complicated or assisted installation, these flexible screens could be set up virtually anywhere. Hung from a wall like a painting, they would be ideal for presentations or TV watching in odd locations.

The futuristic TV is said to have its introduction at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January of 2016. The screen would entirely change the TV watching experience by increasing accessibility and portability -- not to mention making shipping and movers a thing of the past.
