The Francesco Romoli Imaginary Towns series merges digital displays of art with faux landscapes. The Italian artist works with tech tools and a Canon 1000D when producing his pieces, each one depicting broken buildings and decrepit towns that are for the most part deserted.
Present within Imaginary Towns are Romoli's own images. He has interspersed them here with dramatic notes, seen in shadows and big ominous clouds. Dilapidation further abounds the project as he highlights dirt, broken walls and cracked cardboard, a far cry from the hyperrealistic motifs that frequently abound akin productions.
Romoli remains bashful with regards to his talent as he says that "I am nobody, I dont exist." This places the focus on his portfolio only.
