The Framework Chair Delights with its Fetching Formal Simplicity

You might assume that what you see is what you get with the Framework Chair; however, it does present a little bit of an illusion. Steffen Kehrle designed it to appear geometrically reduced and rather minimal, but there is certainly detail and dimension in these seats.

The objects look like drawings that have been extruded into the third dimension, creating iconic outlines of how the archetypal dining chair appears. You will notice, however, that they aren't all straight and rigid components, because ergonomics and balance were considered. Outward-flaring back legs stabilize the weight of a subtly arching backrest, complete with a curved top rail for comfort. Each part of the solid beech wood Framework Chair was carefully put together with subtle details and bold colors.
