'Formify' Creates Customized Gaming Gear with 3D Printing

'Formify' is a new Canadian startup aiming to revolutionize the gaming peripherals space for esports gamers. The company partnered with 'Hubs,' a website with a wealth of knowledge on 3D printing processes, and worked with its experts to create a blueprint for MJF printing custom gaming mice.

Formify works by requiring customers to send clear pictures of their hand. The company then analyzes the photo for size, grip angle, bone structure, and more, and inputs this data into their 3D-printing software to create a computer mouse that is as ergonomic as possible for each customer. Formify aims to create a form-fitting mouse design for each esports competitor, as the company states: "It’s ridiculous that there is only a one-size-fits-all mouse for esports. If you tried to play a game on a million-dollar stage, which a lot of people are doing now, it just doesn’t make sense for everyone to use the same mouse."

The Formify MJF-printed mouse will launch on Kickstarter in November.
