Forest-Inspired Boutiques

Skin Care Store Aesop Has Designed a Store Inspired by Nature

Known for its unique and eye-catching storefronts, Aesop has opened a new forest-inspired boutique in the heart of Singapore.

The store is inspired by the history of the shopping centre it is placed in, which was once a nutmeg plantation. Architecture and design firm Snohetta used colors, materials and forms that all fit the theme they were inspired by -- an "upside-down forest."

Most notable are the hundreds of pieces of wood that hang from the ceiling and are scattered with warm lighting. The brand's products are displayed on brass shelves which are in the same likeness as the ones used in previous stores and they contribute to the store's warm and natural appearance.
