Flying Motorcycles

This Flying Motorcycle is a Cross Between a Motorbike and a Gyrocopter

The G2 bike is a futuristic flying motorcycle being developed by California inventor Dezso Molnar. This motorbike is powered by a 162-horsepower GSX-R1000 motorbike engine, and has been clocked at a scarcely believable 222 km/h (138 mph) on the salt flats. This amazing vehicle hasn't gone airborne yet but will do so in the near future.

One of the highlights of this flying motorcycle design is the fact that it utilizes a single and very affordable motorcycle engine to power both the rear wheel as well as the flight propeller.

The vehicle, if you can even call it that, features several GSX-R motorbike components, including the headlight, mirrors and exhausts. The tilting two-wheel system is borrowed from a Piaggio MP3, and includes a tilt-lock feature that keeps the bike vertical at slow speeds.
