Randomized Photo Sharing Apps

The Fling Mobile App Lets You Send Photos and Text to Random People

The Fling mobile app isn't just targeted towards flirting and hooking up as its name might suggest, but is based on a more interesting and unique concept -- sending photo and text messages to groups of random people. The app allows you to 'fling' photos, text or captioned photos to up to 50 other users anywhere in the world.

Once you've flung your message into cyberspace, you can see if any randoms are bothered to reply. In the meantime, the app shows you exactly where your flings landed using a nifty map view.

Fling is a side-project of the UK-based student social network startup Unii. It has already racked up 375,000 downloads, 180,000 daily active users and an impressive 150 million flings.
