Savory Cottage Cheeses

Hood's Cucumber Dill Flavored Cottage Cheese is an Innovative Award Winner

Hood’s Cucumber Dill-flavored cottage cheese was one product that took home an award from the 2014 Most Innovative Dairy Products Competition. Numerous dairy products including yogurts, sour creams and milk were judged on the use of their ingredients, culture choices, processing technology and product packaging and the Cucumber Dill Cottage cheese was declared a winner.

The new Cucumber Dill Cottage Cheese by Hood is rich in protein and features the flavors of onion, dill and cucumber, which are not at all outrageous, but these flavors usually seem to be more typical of other products like cream cheese. Hood also has a range of other savory cottage cheeses in its assortment, including varieties like cottage cheese with Chive, Garden Vegetables, as well as Chive & Toasted Onion.

Hood recently picked up its award at the end of May at the International Dairy Foods Association's Milk and Cultured Dairy Conference.
