This Park Hosts Over 10,000 Fireflies and is Open to the Public

Wuhan, China has opened the world's first firefly park. The park hosts over 10,000 fireflies to illuminate the night sky, and dazzle visitors as they walk through this gorgeous landscape.

The park does not use artificial light and relies on these buzzing insects to light your way. The park is divided into five different sections: the flying zone, observation area, zero-distance contact zone, breeding spaces and the science popularization area. Each of these spaces provide a distinct experience in separate parts of the firefly park. The park caters to all types of visitors, including those who want to simply observe, be amongst the fireflies or scientific research guests.

This is the first year that the park has been opened, welcoming guests from May to October. If this peaks your interest, the firefly park will soon be an annual tradition.
