The Louvre and Officine Universelle Buly are Creating Painting-Inspired Scents

The Louvre Museum is giving people the chance to experience famous works of art like never before as part of a collaboration with Parisian perfume company Officine Universelle Buly to create fine art fragrances. Taking inspiration from some of the most iconic paintings and sculptures from the French museum, Officine Universelle Buly will be creating dedicated scents devoted to eight renowned works of art.

Now, as well as being able to appreciate the visuals of the Winged Victory of Samothrace, Jean-Honoré’s The Lock and more, people will be able to truly immerse themselves with a new sensory experience. Thomas Gainsborough’s Conversation in a Park, for example, is set outdoors and naturally captures fresh outdoor scents like rose petals and greenery.
